Position: Territory Sales Manager (South West Michigan, Northern Indiana). This role requires a self-starter who can manage a territory, drive sales activity, and consistently exceed goals. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and technical skills, professional integrity, and the ability to leverage data and resources to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage and drive sales activity across the territory, consistently working to achieve and exceed yearly goals and objectives.
Develop and execute territory and account plans; utilize available resources to drive adoption of products in target accounts.
Build and maintain professional relationships; demonstrate initiative, resilience, and a customer-centric approach.
Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner (e.g., CRM usage in Salesforce, expense reporting in Concur).
Conduct territory business reviews to improve access, sales, and relationships; promote Virbac’s product portfolio to a sophisticated audience.
Prospect continuously within the territory to deepen relationships and grow sales; participate in conferences, distributor meetings, and veterinary college activities as appropriate.
Report goals, activities, market information, and customer data to stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Share information with cross-functional partners to ensure timely two-way communication and collaboration.
Host and participate in events such as local KOL dinners and industry conferences; analyze territory data to identify opportunities and optimize focus on high-potential customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
6+ years of experience in a selling or marketing role with proven success in fast-paced environments; animal health industry strongly preferred.
Experience in scientific or medical device sales strongly preferred; prior B2B sales experience required.
Must reside within the territory and be willing to travel throughout the territory for appointments.
Proficient in learning new computer applications with experience in GSuite or MS Office.
Strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a commitment to professional integrity.
Ability to use data to understand trends, identify opportunities, and drive sales while maintaining customer satisfaction.
