DESCRIPTION
BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, a venue consisting of a 900 seat proscenium theatre and a 250 seat three quarter thrust, presenting a wide variety of events from musical, concerts, and dance recitals to professional conferences and city and state events, is seeking freelance sound technicians and live audio engineers.

Applicants must have at least three years of professional experience and should be comfortable programming and mixing shows using Yamaha DM7-EX sound consoles. In addition to the basics of live sound reinforcement, you should also have experience with Dante audio, ClearCom systems, wireless microphone systems, stage monitor engineering, and understand the logistics and etiquette of working with sound designers, stage managers, and production managers. Applicants who primarily have studio or academic experience will be considered, but professional live sound experience is highly preferred.

If hired, applicants may be expected to climb ladders, operate Skyjacks scissor lifts, work at heights exceeding 40 feet, utilize tools and specialized equipment as found in a typical theatrical setting, lift and carry up to 40 pounds, stand or sit for long periods of time, and potentially work in confined spaces.
