About The Role
The Inkhouse Account Executive (AE) is a critical role with responsibility for juggling multiple accounts and writing effectively across different mediums for varied audiences. This fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented role will be responsible for driving day‑to‑day media relations and working effectively as a member of key account teams. This person will be the lead media relations expert on their assigned accounts especially with top‑tier press. The AE is a highly creative self‑starter, with excellent writing skills, and strong detail‑orientation and will provide guidance to other team members on your accounts.

Location: This role is based in our Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Seattle, WA; Washington, DC; San Diego, CA; Denver, CO; or Austin, TX office and requires in‑office presence 3 days a week.

Accountabilities & Qualifications

Execute media outreach across top-tier, trade, and niche outlets to secure high-impact coverage

Hold account calls with media updates

Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, bylines, contributed content, and other written materials aligned with client messaging

Develop targeted, compelling media pitches tailored to individual outlets and journalists

Manage editorial calendars

Serve as a core social media practitioner, developing platform-specific content and maintaining brand voice across channels

Conceptualize creative social media ideas and recommend amplification strategies to extend the reach of earned media wins

Prepare briefing sheets in advance of press/analyst calls and meetings

Stay fully informed on all industry and client news

Use HARO and ProfNet to identify relevant opportunities

Stay fully informed on client business updates, competitive landscape, and broader industry trends to inform strategy and outreach

Monitor and analyze PR, media, and social trends, proactively applying insights to client programs

Manage multiple deadlines and workstreams across accounts while maintaining high attention to detail

Support onboarding and training of new team members, sharing best practices and contributing to team development

Essential Skills

3 – 5 years of progressive experience in PR

Experience in B2B, healthcare or consumer technology

Must be passionate and interested in working on tech accounts, demonstrating enthusiasm and expertise

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling stories, pitches and professional client correspondence

Savviness and creativity in media relations and pitching, speaking opportunities and award submissions with the capability to identify new targets and thoughtful angles until the story lands

Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and with confidence, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients and the media, and is comfortable thinking on their feet

A demonstrated track record handling multiple client accounts simultaneously, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Salary Range
$65,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with skills and experience)
