Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager for a long-term opportunity with our client in Aurora, Illinois. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring successful customer adoption, satisfaction, and long-term account growth. The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle, working closely with sales, operations, project management, and support teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional with experience in the wireless and fiber industry who enjoys managing key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating across multiple departments to ensure customer success.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts throughout the customer lifecycle.
Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and executive sponsors.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Support teams to confirm customer scope, project plans, implementation activities, and ongoing support requirements.
Partner with the Implementation Manager to ensure project milestones are completed on schedule and within budget while providing customers with regular status updates.
Facilitate a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing operational support.
Monitor customer adoption and engagement following implementation to promote long-term success.
Coordinate with support teams to ensure customer issues are communicated effectively, expectations are managed, and support tickets are resolved promptly.
Conduct regular customer meetings to understand evolving business needs and strengthen long-term relationships.
Identify opportunities for additional products, services, contract renewals, and account expansion.
Develop and support sales initiatives and account growth strategies.
Maintain accurate account records, customer communications, and activity tracking within the company's CRM system.
Prepare customer reports, account updates, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Track key account performance indicators and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively across departments to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience.
Experience developing relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
Experience within the wireless and fiber telecommunications industry.
Proven success managing customer relationships and growing strategic accounts.
Strong leadership, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated history of achieving sales goals and delivering customer satisfaction.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong negotiation and consultative selling abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
Ability to analyze account data, sales metrics, and customer trends to develop actionable solutions.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
