Position Summary

The Multimedia Content Specialist conceptualizes, plans, produces, and edits agile multimedia projects—including short-form and vertical video, motion graphics, digital design assets, audio, and photography—for Gordon Food Service events and internal business partners across digital, social, and print channels. The role collaborates with a cross-functional team of writers and designers, delivering high-impact visual storytelling through strong executive presence, creative and strategic thinking, presentation ability, and informal leadership.
What you will do

Act as an agile videographer, photographer, lighting, and sound technician using lightweight, mobile-first equipment for rapid execution.
Produce and edit videos, create graphic designs and motion graphics/animations, and manage translations and voiceover talent for multi-channel digital production.
Maintain video, photo, and audio equipment, software, and accessories; coordinate repairs and purchase new equipment within budget.
Lead and contribute to audio-visual and multimedia support of in-person, virtual, and remote corporate events.
Oversee inventory of production equipment and digital assets, ensuring organization, updates, and functionality.
Manage corporate video studio spaces and sound setups for optimal, high-quality production.
Collaborate with Communications Partners to develop, plan, produce, and direct multimedia projects—schedules, timelines, budgets—and leverage external freelancers or agencies as needed.
Participate in team, business partner, and stakeholder meetings, presenting concepts and obtaining approvals.
Plan external creative resources to meet priority deadlines and balance workload schedules.
Source, contract, and manage specialized talent—videographers, photographers, editors—to execute larger productions on time.
Communicate project updates and recaps clearly to creative teams and corporate stakeholders.
Coordinate all phases of content production: pre-production (concept, scripting, storyboarding), production (filming, capture, styling), and post-production (editing, graphic design, motion design, audio mixing).
Track and reconcile production expenses and invoices to meet budget requirements.
Review contracts and rates for freelance and agency talent.
Define and uphold workflows and digital processes for efficiency and budget compliance.
Organize digital media assets in shared libraries, following strict asset-sharing, cloud storage, and archiving processes.
Consult and enable stakeholders and executives developing localized video and events.
Advise on best practices for self-produced creator-style content, simple mobile/desktop capture kits, and baseline production standards.
Ensure compliance of team, freelance, and agency work with brand standards and project objectives.
Maintain knowledge of current digital media trends, platform-specific optimizations, and emerging multimedia software applications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
When you will work

Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hybrid schedule: four days in the office in Wyoming, MI and one day remote.
What you’ll bring to the table

Bachelor’s degree in Media Production or a related field.
2-4 years of professional experience in digital media production, multimedia design, or content creation, preferably within a corporate communications department, internal creative team, or digital marketing agency.
Portfolio or reel demonstrating video editing, basic graphic design (static social assets, digital signage), and motion graphics/animation.
Knowledge of modern multimedia production, omni-channel communication, and digital dissemination techniques.
Advanced understanding of video and design trends across digital platforms, social media, mobile applications, and internal intranet networks.
Ability to self-manage and self-direct work, setting goals, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with cloud-based Digital Asset Management systems and collaborative review programs.
Strong planning and project management skills; work well under pressure with proactive time management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, visual editing, and professional presentation for executive audiences.
Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tight deadlines.
Skill in adapting narratives for different audiences: internal corporate communication, news, and external marketing pieces.
Strong command of English language structure, grammar, and composition.
Creative problem solving, referencing brand policies and creative best practices.
A keen eye for aesthetic detail, layout, pacing, and audio quality.
Understanding of psychology and digital strategy that promotes engagement and retention.
Rapid adaptability to new digital interfaces, software updates, and creator technology platforms.
Basic arithmetic and budgeting skills (asset measurements, aspect ratio scaling, simple budgeting calculations).
Strong collaborative and relationship-building abilities in a diverse team environment.
Self-directed independence while communicating effectively with the broader creative team.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and collaborative platforms (Figma or Canva).
Experience with collaborative video review and workflow tools (e.g., PageProof) and generative AI production tools.
Experience on both Mac and PC operating systems, and proficiency with Google Workspace.
Knowledge of modern lightweight production hardware (mirrorless cameras, mobile stabilization rigs, wireless audio kits, portable LED lighting).
Additional requirement: candidates who work for a Gordon Food Service customer must provide a letter of support from their management if selected for interview.
