As the lead Political Correspondent for North Carolina, this full-time remote position will break and explain local and state political news while producing engaging journalism in various formats, including videos and social media content.
Key Responsibilities
Report, write, and produce compelling political journalism rooted in local communities
Create multimedia content and collaborate with social media teams to engage audiences effectively
Build and maintain a strong network of sources and contribute to cross-team collaboration for consistent messaging
Required Qualifications
5+ years of political reporting or content creation experience
Deep understanding of North Carolina's political landscape and community dynamics
Proven ability to build an audience through engaging content
Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify complex political topics
