Associate Photographer - Pittsburgh, PA
Associate Photographers are responsible for creating media for Homes.com and Apartments.com. They use a Matterport Pro 3 camera, digital equipment, and an iPad to capture virtual tours, floor plans, and residential photography. Each photographer has a core territory and works closely with clients, sales associates, logistics, and management. Photography managers oversee the team remotely.

Responsibilities

Capture 3‑D virtual tours and footprints for the company’s marketplaces.

Create a portfolio of photographs that best showcase homes and apartments.

Coordinate with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments.

Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researchers, and managers to evaluate priorities and tasks.

When not photographing, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage and identify new inventory.

Adhere to CoStar safety standards for vehicles and equipment.

Represent CoStar professionally at all times.

Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, and sit in a car for up to 8 hours per day.

Lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.

Type on a tablet or laptop and operate camera equipment regularly.

Perform occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying.

Work outdoors in all seasons and on a rotating weekend schedule.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of professional photography experience.

Track record of commitment to prior employers.

Real estate photography experience required.

Experience as a professional photographer or a recent degree in photography.

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong customer service experience.

FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License (obtained within 30 days of offer).

Excellent time‑management, detail orientation, and data entry skills.

Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, internet applications, and Apple iOS products.

Enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Field experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record check.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Compensation: $49,000 – $50,000 (hourly) depending on location, skills, and performance.
