Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company’s Secondary Marketing functions. The role is primarily responsible, under general supervision, for providing high-level loan pricing, locking, and support to production via performing lock desk responsibilities, supplying customer service, and performing other similar duties.
Compensation
This is a non-exempt position with a targeted salary range of $20.91 per hour to $29.37 per hour.
Essential Functions
Work directly with the sales force on establishing pricing, locking, and policies related to mortgage loans.
Perform day-to-day lock desk responsibilities; actively monitor loan terms, price, and rate and use judgment and knowledge to process requests from production accordingly.
Build and maintain effective relationships with the sales force by providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
Maintain sufficient knowledge of loan programs and guidelines in order to assist teammates in the field, helping them operate within policies and guidelines.
Lock-in loans directly with correspondent investors.
Reconcile service-released loans (Flow, Direct Trade, AOT, Pool).
Collaborate with production on individual loan scenarios; assist in assigning the proper loan program based on established pricing and guidelines.
Solve variance issues escalated by the Marketing Assistant.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Minimum two years experience in a lock desk related role.
Knowledge of the mortgage lifecycle preferred.
Finance, Accounting, Analytics skills strongly preferred.
Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Intermediate math skills required.
Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required.
Familiar with basic internet searches.
Professional and pleasant demeanor.
Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy.

Requirements
Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation.
Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
This role requires effective adaptation to workplace stressors, including customer service complaints, security responsibilities, and competing priorities.
Must be able to adhere to process protocol. Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday – Friday.
