The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. In this role you will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS‑based solutions for our clients, bridging business requirements with technical solutions and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects
Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
Facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes
Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions
Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or related field
5+ years of project/program management experience
Experience with Agile or other program management methodologies
4+ years of IT implementation experience
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Experience working with and presenting to C‑level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations
Experience managing technical projects consisting of 4 or more people totalling over a $250,000 budget
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience supporting DoD/DoW & National Security mission systems, and the ability to represent AWS within the customer’s environment, driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade‑offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation
Base salary range: $131,300 – $177,600 USD annually for Arlington, VA and Herndon, VA locations.
