Summary

The Marketing & Events Coordinator reports to the Development Director and will specialize in the creation and execution of events that engage current and prospective donors and advocates. This role involves meticulous planning, coordination, and implementation to ensure events run smoothly and achieve their intended goals. The Marketing & Events Coordinator creates marketing programs to promote and communicate our mission, program and events to the El Paso community.

Primary Responsibility

The Marketing & Events Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to plan, organize, and execute marketing and fundraising events to raise awareness, recruit advocates, and secure donations to CASA of El Paso. This role supports communications, social media, and event logistics to engage donors, partners, and the broader community in support of CASA’s mission.

Essential Job Functions

Develop a comprehensive yearly plan to cultivate and solicit organizations, corporations, foundations, individuals, and public sources. Present plan to Chief Program Officer and update once a quarter.

Provide innovative ideas and concepts that can be evaluated and implemented to maximize attendance at planned events.

Develop and execute all events from inception to completion. Plan and execute fundraising and community events, including annual galas, volunteer days, donor events and awareness campaigns.

Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, vendor management, invitations, sponsorships, and volunteer coordination.

Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure successful event execution. Serve as the point person onsite for setup, troubleshooting, and breakdown.

Maintain event timelines, budgets, and post-event reports and evaluations.

Manage event-related donor stewardship and follow-up communications.

Track attendance and success of each event. Provide suggestions on changes or areas to improve.

Develop and schedule engaging content for social media platforms, email newsletters, and website updates.

Work with ad agency and Chief Program Officer to promote all events on all media channels.

Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all platforms.

Coordinate design and ordering of direct marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, etc. to promote events and/or organization.

Community Awareness & Partnerships

Represent CASA of El Paso positively in a variety of settings.

Be an Ambassador for CASA at events, third party events, and community tables.

Consistent professional representation within our community to maintain CASA’s identity and mission.

Develop and maintain ongoing collaborative relationships with community partners.

Attend presentations with the Volunteer Recruiter for both recruitment and development purposes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a closely related field, AND two years professional marketing/communications experience, including event planning/coordination, public relations, media placement and advertising, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Other Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Lift, load and take down special event materials; set up and break down meetings.

Be able to work outside normal business hours, evenings, and weekends.

Proven experience working with and managing volunteers.

Outstanding written & verbal communication skills and visual story telling skills.

Proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Eventbrite, and social media platforms.

Friendly, collaborative spirit and passion for nonprofit work.

Proven in the areas of organization, decision-making, and conflict management.

College degree required; master’s degree preferred in related field.

Pass National Criminal, Sex Offender and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry background checks.
