As a Motorola Public Relations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting media relations, communications, and brand awareness initiatives. Working alongside the Senior PR Manager, you will help develop and execute PR campaigns, create compelling press materials, coordinate media opportunities, and track industry trends to identify timely and impactful storytelling opportunities. Success in this role requires strong writing skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with media and influencers.

This is a hybrid role, which will require you to work at the Merchandise Mart office in Chicago 3 days per week.

Minimum Pay
USD $60,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay
USD $66,000.00/Yr.

What You'll Do

Assist in the development and execution of PR campaigns and initiatives

Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing insights and reports to the Sr. PR Manager

Draft press materials, including press releases, media alerts, media pitches and talking points

Maintain media lists and build relationships with key journalists and influencers.

Manage inbound media and influencer inquiries

Stay updated on industry trends and news cycles to identify opportunities for proactive media outreach

Coordinate logistics for media events and interviews

Support internal communication efforts as needed, and support cross-team communications and collaborative efforts

Think creatively and identify new opportunities for the team

What You'll Bring - Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations or a related field, PR agency experience preferred

Proficient in media monitoring tools, and Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Experience with PR measurement and evaluation tools

Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in PR strategies

Skills And Attributes

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various audiences

Proven analytical skills, with experience drawing insights from data

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Strong project management skills; detail-oriented with time management skills

Ability to travel once per quarter

Physical Requirements

Regularly sit, grasp, talk and/or hear

Occasionally walk and/or stand

Occasionally carry and lift up to 25 lbs.

Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation
