Multimedia Associate

Overview
Friends of Sherrod Brown is seeking a Multimedia Associate to join our growing digital team working to elect Sherrod Brown to the U.S. Senate in 2026. This campaign is based in Columbus, Ohio, but will require extensive travel across the state with the Senator. This is a union-represented position.

The multimedia associate is passionate about storytelling online in a way that resonates with digital audiences. They will assist the Digital team on video recording and editing, taking photos, to tell stories online about Sherrod Brown’s fight for the Dignity of Work. Candidates with matching skillsets from all professional backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Travel across Ohio to capture and shoot content of Sherrod Brown, supporters, and surrogates

Capture content during events, including taking photos and videos

Brainstorm new ideas and creative concepts

Work with other departments to meet photo and video needs

Work with our digital team to brainstorm and execute new ideas

Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or other design software

2+ years of experience in video production, photography, and motion graphics

A positive attitude and sense of humor

An understanding of how to create content that is optimized for different digital platforms

Good political and social media instincts

A strong attention to detail and be highly organized

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Hours:

This position schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the cycle.
