Ascent Athlete is one of the premier baseball and softball training organizations in the region, serving thousands of athletes each year through elite player development programs (PDP), travel teams, and professional‑grade facilities. We are looking for an Athlete Services Representative who is eager to build a career in the sports industry.
Position Overview
The Athlete Services Representative is the "face of the franchise." You are the first and last impression for every family that enters our facility. This role is a blend of customer experience, sports management, and proactive sales support. You will be responsible for managing the athlete journey—from the initial greeting to following up on training packages and lessons.
Schedule
Hours: 20–40 hours per week.
Primary Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM; Saturdays 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Summer Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Flexibility: Occasional weekends for special events, camps, or peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Follow‑Up
Greet athletes and families with high energy and professionalism.
Proactive Outreach:
Actively follow up with parents via phone and email regarding lesson expirations, training package renewals, and upcoming program registrations.
Build long‑term relationships with returning clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
Operations & Platform Management
MindBody Integration:
Use the MindBody platform to manage scheduling, process transactions, and track athlete memberships (experience preferred).
Maintain an organized front desk and handle incoming calls and emails with professional brand‑voice clarity.
Manage high‑volume athlete check‑ins for PDP sessions and team practices.
Revenue & Sales Support
Identify opportunities to upsell lessons, camps, and specialized programs.
Support Directors and Coaches by converting evaluations and inquiries into booked training sessions.
Maintain a deep knowledge of all Ascent offerings to provide expert recommendations to parents.
Candidate Requirements
Sports Management Interest:
A vested interest in sports management or athletic administration is highly preferred. We want someone eager to learn the business side of elite sports.
Platform Experience:
Prior experience with the MindBody platform (or similar CRM/POS software) is strongly preferred, though we will train the right candidate.
Elite Communication:
Ability to speak confidently with parents about their child’s development and the value of our training packages.
Organizational Skills:
Exceptional multitasking ability in a high‑energy environment; must be detail‑oriented.
Sales‑Minded:
Comfortable "closing the loop" on a sale and encouraging families to take the next step in their athlete's journey.
Reliability:
Punctuality and a professional appearance are non‑negotiable.
