User Experience Researcher & Designer – Fort Worth, Texas (Contract)
LRS Consulting Services is seeking a User Experience Researcher & Designer for an opportunity with our client in Fort Worth, Texas.

The User Experience Researcher & Designer will be a key member of the Experience Design and broader Marketing team.
Description
In this role, you will create understanding and empathy around user needs, both stated and unstated, for the company, including designers, product managers, developers, and management. You will conduct primary research, exploring the behaviors and motivations of our users through methods such as field visits, surveys, usability testing, user interviews, card sorting, ethnography, and data analysis. Additionally, you will build designs and convey them, along with research, to stakeholders. A key metric for success will be the ability to influence stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Executes design and/or research efforts, gathers insights, and produces UX deliverables + mentors others
Elevates and improves our UX maturity on the teams you support
Understanding and influencing stakeholders and agile teams to improve the user experience
Assists with quantitative and qualitative studies, including consulting on study objectives, creating project plans, survey creation and pretesting, managing contractors, leading analysis, and delivering final reports
Assists in facilitating workshops
Evangelizes the importance of user research & design in all phases of software development, from concept to release
Assists in communicating with all of the company’s wants and needs of the client
Collaborates with business stakeholders, IT, other researchers, marketing, and design leaders to ensure research translates into business impact
Assists with strategizing research into end-to-end client journeys
Works closely with UX and data teams and uses research methodologies to discover, learn, and validate needs within various market opportunities
Creates & validates new designs through ad-hoc or formalized user feedback sessions with internal users or clients
Mentors researchers/designers
Qualifications
A Degree in related studies (Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Data Science, Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, Psychology, etc.) or equivalent real-world experience
4-7 years in a UX related role doing research and design
Experience managing qualitative and quantitative research projects, including multi-phase, multi-mode projects
Ability to do design work in tools such as Figma (the primary one we use)
Familiarity with current and emerging KPIs, benchmarks and success metrics (Net Promoter Score, Customer Satisfaction Scores, Customer Effort Score, System Usability Score, etc.)
Experience with survey and measurement tools (e.g., Qualtrics, UserTesting.com)
Experience turning insights into action, with the ability to tell a compelling story about the wants and needs of our clients
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Compensation
The base range for this contract position is $50 – $70 per hour, depending on experience; pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
