BIM Modeler - Structural Engineering
AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Specialist (Structures) to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia.
The functions and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, update, and maintain structural BIM models, plans, layouts, details, and all required graphic deliverables for design and documentation.
- Prepare and coordinate structural models and plans for concrete and steel building systems, including foundations, superstructures, and typical structural elements of critical facilities.
- Prepare plans and models based on engineering inputs, sketches, and comments using Revit Structure, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD.
- Support coordination activities with architecture, MEP, geotechnical, and construction teams, ensuring consistency in models and interference-free deliverables.
- Apply a solid knowledge of company procedures, BIM standards, and quality control processes to meet deliverables and agreed timelines.
- Follow established workflows, procedures, and instructions according to project and company requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in dynamic and high-demand project environments.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Technical or technologist degree in structural drawing, BIM modeling, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in BIM modeling and plan preparation for building projects, with a focus on structural design and coordination.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks for structural modeling and interference detection.
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to perform self-control and quality assurance in models and plans.
- Proactive, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Strict compliance with health and safety policies, code of conduct, ethics, and anti-corruption standards.
- Intermediate English (spoken and written)
Preferred requirements:
- Proven experience in structural BIM modeling and plan preparation for data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
