Talent Director

Position Summary

We are looking for a Director of Talent to own the full lifecycle of how Axiom finds, grows, and retains the people we need that aligns with the long-term business objectives. This role reports to the Chief People Officer and spans talent acquisition, workforce planning & reporting, learning & development, and talent management.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

Design and enforce the offer target from posting to signed offer across all requisitions, owning the SLA framework for each hiring stage.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the hiring process.
Hold hiring managers accountable for their mandate; escalate hiring‑velocity issues to the CPO.
Implement an interview framework that emphasizes accountability, skill, and grit, and train hiring managers in behavioral interviewing.
Build calibration processes to ensure consistent, defensible candidate assessments.
Hire, develop, and manage performance of recruiters and recruiting coordinators.
Develop recruiting ops that track requisitions in real time and surface aging searches.
Execute Axiom’s employer‑brand strategy and build university and alumni pipelines for aerospace-related talent.
Represent Axiom credibly in the aerospace and defense talent community.
Workforce Planning & Reporting

Partner with HRBPs and program leads to translate business milestones into headcount needs.
Maintain a real‑time view of requisitions, reporting weekly hiring velocity, aging requisitions, offer acceptance rates, and 90‑day retention.
Build or enhance the ATS, sourcing stack, and recruiting workflows to meet hiring volume targets.
Track talent health metrics—flight risk indicators, high‑performer retention, internal mobility, manager effectiveness.
Provide compensation, candidate availability, and competitor hiring intelligence.
