Job Description
The Orange County Regional History Center seeks a part‑time Database & Membership Coordinator to support the museum’s membership and development efforts through accurate database management, coordinated membership communications, and general administrative and visitor services support as needed. This role maintains records in Blackbaud Altru, prepares membership communications, and ensures data integrity to support engagement and reporting.

Representative Duties / Assignments

Maintain and update constituent and membership records, including contact information, membership levels, and renewal dates, in Altru to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Run standard and ad‑hoc queries and reports to support membership, development, and marketing needs.

Perform regular data audits, cleanup, imports, exports, deduplication processes, and basic troubleshooting related to Altru.

Assist with the creation and management of related systems such as email marketing platforms and event registration tools.

Serve as the primary internal resource for CRM functionality and basic training to staff users.

Coordinate with marketing on membership listing mailings.

Run requested queries and reports for communication needs.

Coordinate with visitor experience on membership renewal notifications, acknowledgments, welcome packets, and special appeals as related to Altru.

Provide coverage at the museum front desk as needed, including greeting visitors and processing admissions.

Sell and process tickets, memberships, and retail items using Altru and point‑of‑sale systems.

Follow established data entry standards and confidentiality protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience working with CRM database systems.

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Experience with database queries, reports, and mail merges.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a part‑time schedule.

Preferences

Previous experience in a museum, nonprofit, or cultural organization.

Familiarity with membership programs or donor stewardship.

Proficiency in MailChimp audience maintenance.

Benefits and Compensation
Pay Grade: 414 – From $16.88 to $34.29 per hour.

FLSA Status: Placement based on Education and Experience.

Job Type: Temporary, 20–25 hours per week.

Educational Requirements
