Sales Planner

to join the

Medical Communications Group Media Strategy

team. This position is located in our New York, NY office on a hybrid work schedule; three (3) days in office depending on business needs.

Job Overview
In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Analytics, Ad Operations, Client Success, and Marketing to develop strategic digital advertising proposals for leading pharmaceutical brands.

Success in this position goes beyond completing templates. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, connecting information across multiple sources, asking thoughtful questions, and finding creative solutions for clients. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, highly organized, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly.

This role provides significant exposure to digital media strategy, client planning, commercial operations, and cross‑functional collaboration, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in digital advertising and media strategy.

Responsibilities

Perform RFP Intake including entry of information into Salesforce, setting up Google Sheets and Slides for team collaboration

Carefully evaluate all client‑supplied RFP materials to accurately interpret campaign objectives

Maintain in‑depth knowledge of all advertising products, inventory, and pricing

Develop customized media recommendations and proposals that align Haymarket’s digital products with client marketing objectives.

Manage multiple concurrent proposal timelines while communicating priorities, project status, and expected delivery dates to internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal teams to curate custom audience groups for digital marketing

Continuously build expertise in Haymarket’s advertising products, audience capabilities, digital media landscape, and internal workflows.

Support special projects under the guidance of a Media Strategist or Manager, including business trend analysis, team documentation, process improvement, and workflow efficiencies that strengthen the Media Strategy team’s day‑to‑day operations.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of relevant professional experience in media planning, media strategy, digital marketing, advertising, or a related field preferred; internship experience and transferable early‑career experience will also be considered

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret information, identify trends, and make thoughtful recommendations.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence collaborating across multiple teams.

Naturally curious with a desire to understand not just what to do, but why it matters.

Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, products, and workflows quickly.

Comfortable working through ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities.

Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow‑through.

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets & Slides); experience with Salesforce or project management tools is a plus.

The salary range for this position is 65,000-70,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
