Job Summary
The Marketing Manager‑Festivals is responsible for all marketing assets for festivals on the calendar. This position works in conjunction with artist management, Radio/TV, and the marketing team to create and develop an effective marketing plan that reaches the correct demographic and target customers for each show. The Marketing Manager develops graphic content to inform the general public of shows, driving ticket sales, maintains and tracks budgets to ensure proper fund allocation, and oversees social media accounts to keep them up to date with engaging material.
Essential Functions
Develop and execute marketing and promotional plans in collaboration with festival directors, talent buyers, and the marketing director to plan and oversee marketing spend.
Generate and adhere to the marketing budget; book and account for all advertising and media, ensuring funds are allocated to correct partners; prepare advertising settlements for each show.
Oversee social media accounts for each show—develop ad copy and implement ad schedules to target specific demographics and customers.
Oversee and evaluate show performance, making adjustments to meet marketing strategy in changing market or competitive conditions.
Supervise publicity, advance press interviews, and secure and coordinate artist availability for promotions with management, label, and public relations agencies.
Develop and pitch promotions to media outlets; contact radio and schedule radio time, set up giveaways, and negotiate rates and contracts with media outlets.
Develop additional marketing opportunities to increase ticket sales when needed; keep up with current marketing and social media trends to brainstorm new ideas and concepts for assets and promotions.
Work with marketing team and artist management to strategize new ways to market shows and reach the correct audience; request graphics for ecards, banners, posters, social media posts, radio station needs, and e‑mail campaigns.
Oversee interns and assistants as necessary.
Required Qualifications
BA/BS Degree (4 years) in Marketing, Business Communications, or PR (preferred).
4–6 years of related work experience.
4–6 years experience with media buying.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of social media and online marketing initiatives and strategies.
Internet savvy.
Proficient in Photoshop and MS Office.
Creative, detail‑oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of the music industry preferred.
Passion for music preferred.
Payscale
$71,000 – 90,176.50
Bonus
This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
