**Job Description**
AV is looking for a highly talented Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Spectrum Management Office (SMO) within the Office of the Chief Engineer (MDA/CED). In this role you will focus on advancing mission-critical initiatives through comprehensive spectrum lifecycle management --including system certification, frequency authorization, interference resolution, and global deployment coordination.
Job Description:
+ Ensure consistent, thorough, and integrated management, execution, and products of Flight, Technical, Programmatic and Cyber risks through the MDA Risk Working Group (MRWG).
+ Execute Technical Risk assessments to support MDA Operational Capacity List (OCL) Decisions.
+ Provide expert review of evidence related to technical, and Cyber risks presented in System and Element requirements and design reviews.
+ Provide support to elements for risk development.
+ Support Mission Execution and disposition of Execution Risks and Event Observations in Daily MRWGs
Required:
+ Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field
+ 7+ years of experience
+ Active Secret clearance
+ Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) theory and electromagnetic principles.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and strict attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Teams
Desired:
+ Graduate of a military spectrum management school
+ 4+ years of experience within federal/DoW spectrum management
+ Ability to obtain / Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance
+ Experience with Spectrum XXI (SXXI)
+ Knowledge of the NTIA Manual (Redbook)
+ Experience with the GEMSIS suite (Stepstone, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWD-O), Joint Spectrum Data Repository (JSDR), Integrated Spectrum Desktop)
+ Knowledge of electromagnetic propagation modeling, wave behavior, and signal attenuation
+ Experience with MATLAB or other programming languages
+ Knowledge of the Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution Online (JSIR-O) portal
+ Experience with NTIA EL-CID
+ Knowledge of standard engineering practices
+ Experience with automation tools or programming/scripting languages to aid in data analysis
