Clariant is currently looking for a Production Technician to support operations for the Catalyst business unit at the South Plant Facility in Louisville, KY. The Production Technician safely operates automatic and semi-automatic chemical processing systems and related production equipment. This position monitors process conditions, handles and documents materials, performs routine testing, identifies equipment abnormalities, and supports basic maintenance activities to ensure production meets established safety, quality, and process requirements. This position is a full-time, onsite position offering $35.95 per hour plus a 5% quarterly bonus. Responsibilities

Operate automatic and semi-automatic chemical processing systems and related equipment in accordance with established procedures

Monitor process controls, including meters, gauges, valves, temperatures, pressures, flow ratios, and scales, to ensure production specifications are met

Perform routine process tests or submit samples to the laboratory and take appropriate action based on results

Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process abnormalities, safety concerns, and quality issues

Make minor equipment adjustments and repairs and assist maintenance with work in the assigned production area

Move, transfer, handle, and properly identify materials using forklifts, hand dollies, lifts, engineered transfer systems, and SAP labels

Accurately document material movements, process readings, production activity, and other required data

Maintain a safe and organized work area while assisting with the training and coaching of less-experienced employees

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; previous manufacturing, chemical processing, production, or related industrial experience preferred.

Mechanical and spatial aptitude with the ability to monitor equipment, identify abnormalities, and perform basic troubleshooting.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; SAP or similar manufacturing system experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and accurate documentation skills.

Excellent attendance, safety, and performance record, with the ability to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the role.
