Overview
Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a freelance Assistant Editor to join post-production. This role will be responsible for managing and prepping incoming and outgoing media for the editorial team.
The Assistant Editor position is based on-site in our Glendale office and reports to the EP/Head of Post-Production.
Duties & Responsibilities
Logging
File management
Syncing
Exporting
Light graphics (within Premiere)
Creating ancillary deliverables such as press release stills, show clips, & music cue sheets
Experience and Education
2+ years of relevant experience in digital post-production
Will consider relevant internships toward experience
Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.

Qualifications
Mastery of Premiere is a must
Experience with AfterEffects and Photoshop preferred
The ability to adapt and work quickly under short deadlines
Understanding of video codecs and workflows
A high level of attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The salary for this role is $22 - $24 per hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
