Leading innovative projects, the hybrid Senior Transmission Line Engineer will design high-voltage transmission lines (69 kV to 765 kV), collaborate with clients and vendors, and ensure successful project execution while working both in-office and remotely after the initial 90 days of employment.
Key responsibilities
Design transmission lines using PLS-CADD, including developing and reviewing models and verifying right of way requirements
Collaborate with clients and peers to determine project needs, optimize routes, and identify materials and design solutions
Coordinate design teams to prepare project deliverables and provide engineering support during construction phases
Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
EIT Certification preferred
Typically requires 6 years of experience in transmission line design
Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and foundation design software such as MFAD or L-Pile
Solid knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ASCE 7, and AISC standards
