The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program management activities by performing tasks related to data tracking, analysis, and implementation of results that meet the goals/objectives of the department. The Center for Pharmacogenomics in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an open position for a Program Coordinator. This position will be involved in the development and management of advanced research infrastructures and large-scale translational research projects. The Program Coordinator will lead specific initiatives for the Center for Pharmacogenomics with guidance and leadership from Center faculty members and will play a role in the programmatic development of the newly established Center to promote innovation in pharmacogenomics research operations. The Center for Pharmacogenomics at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is entering an exciting stage of growth. As one of the program's foundational team members, the Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in establishing the Center's presence, advancing its scientific mission, and contributing to the development of innovative approaches that support precision medicine across the institution.
Job Responsibilities
Problem‑solving and multi‑tasking: Ability to address and resolve issues that arise during coordination of tasks and processes; administer one or more programs or projects; develop and track program metrics; and provide complex data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Communication: Ability to clearly and effectively convey information, updates and expectations to diverse audiences, including team members, stakeholders and leadership, both verbally and in writing. Define program/project requirements, identify interdependencies with internal or external departments or service providers, and coordinate to receive input.
Collaboration and teamwork: Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders; engage with internal program management teams and external vendors for coordination.
Attention to detail and organizational skills: Careful attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and consistency in processes. Recommend program or process improvements, including systemic changes to program/project management processes, to strengthen planning, scope management, and risk prevention.
Support the design and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures. Develop process for execution of program initiatives. May mentor less experienced team members. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in program management delivery. Significant experience working with project planning tools ("MS Project", "Microsoft SharePoint", "ServiceNow", "Smartsheet", "Clarity", "Planview", "MS Office").
Compensation
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator - Pharmaceutical Sciences. In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
