Job Overview We are looking for a motivated Associate Photo Editor to join the groundbreaking online news team for FoxNews.com&FoxBusiness.com. This position is a Monday‑Friday 11:00AMET – 7:00PMET shift; hours are subject to change. You must be available to work alternate hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
Responsibilities Editing and optimizing original photography and video for web and devices
Booking travel for photographers
Assigning photographers to assignments
Assisting with handling invoices and tracking billing
Adhering to, and auditing detailed SEO requirements
Incorporating edits from supervisors
Utilizing real‑time analytics tools to track the success of photo & video‑driven stories
Creating and updating slideshows to capture important and compelling events
Communicating with news professionals in an assignment desk setting
Maintaining a database of contacts and story ideas
Working with all verticals, including Entertainment, U.S. News, Lifestyle, Business, and World teams by pitching visual stories and pulling in wire and partner content
Monitoring social media platforms and forums for the latest breaking or trending news items of interest to Fox News readers
Multitasking on tight deadlines in a high‑pressure environment
Prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in political science, communications, journalism, graphic arts or a related discipline
One year of experience in a daily breaking news environment
Ability to work under deadline pressures with editors and reporters
Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
Proven creative mind with a great eye for detail
Experience in Photoshop, Premiere, Bridge, and/or Lightroom
Prior experience working in a DAM or CMS is highly desired
Interest in photography is a plus
Compensation & Benefits The pay rate is $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 annually, with the final offer dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. This role is eligible for various benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for union‑represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
