TheGeneral Motors DesignVisualization Foundationsteam is seekingVisualization Artiststo join the teamcreatingcompellingvisualizationassets and experiences for theDesign Studios.You will be part ofa groupofhighly skilled visualization artistsembedded in the Design studios in Warren.You will join a team of VisualizationArtistswith avastarray of skills toact as mentor for best practices, troubleshoot,ideate,and be a bidirectional conduit for innovation and continuous improvement between theDesign StudiosandtheVisualization teams.
We are seeking candidates whodemonstrate personal accountability andhave excellentvisualizationskillsandself-motivation toseamlessly visualizethe creative work of the studioto enable faster decision making.
This position requires an employee to bemainlyon siteto provideappropriate support forthe studio’s needs.Ability to travel is required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the single point SME embedded in the studios and linked to the coreVisualization teamsto identify efficiencies instudio deliverables
Collaborate withdesigners, sculptors and studio engineersto identify opportunities for efficiencies, data prep standards,troubleshooting hardware and softwareand drive for continuous improvement
Support the following review typesand events:
VR, MR,AR Tabletreview set up acrossmultiplesoftware and hardware
Traditional and AI enabledanimations
Market Research virtualclinic support
Industry Events
Executiveand Senior LeaderReviews
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work withcross-functionalteams within various software to achievepipeline efficiencies
Proactive with reaching out to appropriatestakeholders
Seeks opportunities for innovation by collaborating with others on latest ideas and continuous improvement initiatives
Demonstrates personal skills that enable interfacing with cross-functional teams for maximum effect
Ability to work agilely across all deliverables of the teamsincludingDesign, Sculpting andIndustrial Design
Ability toproblem solve in a creative environment
Experience, Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree preferred/equivalent industry related experience considered
Experiencein automotiveDigital Twinsand CGIa plus
Experience invisualization tools such asUNREAL Engine, VRED andMayarequired
Experience in VR, MR, and AR required
Experience in Vizcom required
Knowledge in Teamcentera plus
