Driven by a dedication to excellence in both design and client relations, CosciaMoos is seeking an Interior Designer to assist on a variety of projects from design through close-out. The ideal candidate has a good design sense, a solid technical knowledge base, and effective project organization and coordination skills.
The Interior Designer will possess the skills to be an integral part of the interior design effort through all phases of a project. The Interior Designer will be responsible for tasks including programming, small to large-scale space planning, and must possess a working knowledge of interior construction detailing, interior specification coordination, be able to create conceptual designs and FF&E specifications. The ID will be responsible for preparing presentations, design drawings, and assisting in construction drawings as well as coordination of all trades related to interior building design.
Responsibilities

Experience in each phase of project from programming through construction administration
Space planning and test-fit abilities.
Assist in specification and detail drawing.
Review and respond during construction administration; attend construction phase meetings when required; evaluate change orders, RFIs and submittals.
Work with the project manager and the project lead designer(s) in creating interior environments which serve the client’s goals, image and aesthetic requirements.
Develop code compliant designs.
Select appropriate finish materials and furnishings.
Develop presentation materials including 3D renderings.
Coordinate work with other disciplines.
Execute and enhance the design intent while preparing the construction documents.
Work with architecture and the engineering disciplines to ensure a consistent development of the project towards the design concepts established in earlier phases.
Prepare furniture budgets.
Develop project and furniture specifications and other technical requirements of projects.
Prepare interiors and furniture punch lists.
Essential Requirements

Professional Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
3-5 years of design and project experience
NCIDQ certified or working towards certification.
Strong writing and organizational skills
Working proficiency in Revit
Rendering experience with Enscape or similar programs
Proficiency in Adobe suite software
Experience with AI-assisted design and productivity tools is preferred; willingness to learn and adopt new technologies is essential.
