Engagement Manager – AWS Professional Services
This position requires the candidate to be a US Citizen and to currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

The Amazon Web Services (ProServe) team seeks a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. The EM combines technical expertise and strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients. The role bridges business requirements with technical solutions, facilitates technical discussions, and ensures alignment with customer outcomes. The EM applies AWS frameworks such as the Well‑Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework, demonstrates technical credibility across diverse stakeholders, and distills customer needs into clear technical requirements. The EM deconstructs complex problems and makes informed trade‑off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact. The EM validates solutions against business goals, manages technical risks, and continuously develops domain expertise.

Key Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.

Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.

Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate engineering discussions, and ensure alignment with customer business outcomes.

Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.

Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.

Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of leading the delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent experience.

3+ years of program or engagement management, leading other PMs to deliver a program with multiple concurrent projects.

1+ years working as a Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross‑functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.

Experience applying AWS frameworks such as the Well‑Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework.

Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision‑makers.

Company: Amazon Web Services, Inc. Location: San Francisco, CA. Salary range: $151,000 - $204,200 annually.
