Title : Production Technician

Location : Addison, IL 60101

Schedule : 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay : $22.00/hour (based on experience)

Hire Type : Contract to Hire

Sterling Engineering is partnering with a growing manufacturing company to hire a Production Technician in Addison, IL. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with mechanical equipment, using hand tools, and being part of a fast-paced production team. The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or warehouse experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities
Operate production equipment including pneumatic presses, wire cutters, and spoolers.
Assemble products using hand and power tools.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Report quality concerns or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
Move materials throughout the facility and assist with inventory handling.
Operate a forklift to transport materials and finished goods as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or factory environment.
Experience using hand tools and power tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read and follow work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills

Experience operating production machinery.
Comfortable lifting materials and working in a manufacturing environment.
Good communication and time management skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
