Description Maintain purchase manifest and supplier accounts. Determine and plan daily routes and vendor visits. Deliver payment to vendor. Identify potential new customers and establish relationships. Maintain awareness of company inventory and supply needs. Maintain a network of customers to ensure continuity and consistency in quality and volume of buys. Maintain direct communication with leadership and peers regarding competitive situation, market conditions and scheduling. Work with leadership to negotiate pricing and purchase terms. Process orders and manage relationships. Inspect product for proof of ownership and attach title or CD to agreement. Organize delivery or unloading of goods. Assume other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Not responsible for supervising employees. Requirements Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of related experience. Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record. Pass a drug test and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance. Must have a good driving record and pass a drug screen. Preferred Requirements Prior experience determining the resolvability of products purchased. College coursework. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret graphs. Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into documents and spreadsheets to support business objectives. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to train others in functional areas, interact with colleagues, and make presentations to department or middle management. Handle routine, somewhat repetitive problems by following clear directions and procedures. Make decisions that affect own job or assigned functional area. Set personal goals and determine how to achieve results with limited guidelines. Manage multiple tasks or projects with moderate complexity. Essential Physical Demands / Work Environment Work is primarily sedentary: able to sit for extended periods and use computer, keyboard, and mouse frequently. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays, depending on position requirements. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
