Gray Media is hiring: NEWS ANCHOR/PRODUCER (MORNING) - WDTV in Bridgeport

Job Summary
WDTV is seeking a candidate regularly responsible for anchoring and producing newscasts. The selected candidate should be a newsroom leader, help with story generation, thrive in breaking news situations, and present an energetic personality while delivering the news. They must be a team player and flexible both in the newsroom and on‑air.

Duties and Responsibilities

Anchor the Daybreak newscast & produce the 5:30‑6:00 a.m. half hour.

Obtain information and write breaking news stories for the website and shows.

Share breaking news on Facebook and the news app.

Qualifications and Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with newsroom managers, producers, and co‑workers.

Strong attention to detail.

Knowledge of journalism ethics and legal issues.

Ability to meet news deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.

Maintain a professional appearance.
