Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Video Editor & Producer who excels at transforming ideas into engaging video content. This role is ideal for a video content creator with a strong editing background, capable of owning the post-production process while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling visual stories across digital platforms.
The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, demonstrates outstanding editorial craftsmanship, and understands how to optimize content for diverse audiences and platforms.
This is an editor-first role. While production experience is valuable, success in this position is defined by exceptional editing, narrative development, and post-production excellence. The primary focus of the role is shaping compelling stories through editing rather than field production.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the K-pop ecosystem, fan culture, and data-informed creative strategy, leveraging strong editorial judgment and storytelling expertise to elevate content quality and deliver engaging, story-driven experiences for global audiences.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Development & Hands-on Execution
Own the editorial direction and lead the end-to-end post-production process, transforming creative concepts and raw footage into compelling long-form video content.
Edit high-quality long-form videos for multimedia platforms(mainly YouTube), digital campaigns, music and artist marketing campaigns, and internal communications.
Lead or oversee productions as needed, ensuring footage is captured with the editorial vision in mind while remaining primarily focused on post-production.
Develop compelling narratives through pacing, music, sound design, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
Collaborate with creative, marketing, and production teams to shape concepts and transform creative briefs into impactful video content.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high creative standards and meeting deadlines.
Ensure final deliverables meet high technical and creative standards through color grading, audio refinement, and quality control.
Stay current with editing techniques, digital content trends, and platform best practices.
Establish and maintain efficient post-production workflows, media organization, and project archiving practices.
Champion editorial excellence by providing creative direction, constructive feedback, and best practices throughout the post-production process.
Create compelling, story-driven content that strengthens connections between artists and global fan communities.
Translate artist vision, brand direction, and audience insights into compelling, platform-relevant storytelling.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align creative vision with audience and business objectives while elevating the overall quality of content.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in video editing, post-production, or video content creation, with demonstrated experience leading end-to-end editorial workflows.
A portfolio demonstrating exceptional editing craftsmanship, editorial judgment, and visual storytelling.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics and animation.
Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and Adobe Audition is a plus.
Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools and modern post-production workflows.
Strong understanding of social-first content, YouTube, digital marketing, and platform-specific video formats.
Excellent sense of pacing, composition, sound, typography, and visual design.
Ability to incorporate creative feedback while independently driving projects from concept through final delivery.
Demonstrated ability to provide creative leadership while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
It’s a bonus if you have
Professional working proficiency in both Japanese and English.
Experience in the music or entertainment industry, particularly in content or video production environments
Familiarity with the K-pop ecosystem, fan-driven content strategies, and evolving digital media trends.
Experience managing end-to-end video pre-production and post-production workflows.

Salary Range
The salary range for this job is $90,000 to $95,000. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
