Elementary Choir Director

Minnetonka Public Schools has multiple elementary choirs for grades 3, 4, 5 and 6. One grade 3 choir on the East side of elementary buildings and one grade 3 choir on the West side of elementary buildings. The choirs meet at an elementary building to be determined, one day per week.
Assignment details:
Dates: 2026-27 school year
Practices: After school one day a week on Thursdays; times to be determined
Requirements:
Minnesota K-12 music license (vocal/classroom), preferred
Demonstrated successful experience working with elementary age children in a choral setting
Knowledge of children's voices, and in particular strategies for working with boys and girls of this age in a choral program
Evidence of sufficient piano skills to help singers learn their parts
Demonstrated success in developing a rapport with young students and their parents, including excellent communication and human relations skills
Demonstrated knowledge of vocal pedagogy for the child voice
Compensation: $3,793
This position is not medical or dental benefit eligible.
