Junior UI/UX & Visual Designer

Inadev is currently seeking a Junior UI/UX & Visual Designer to shepherd the visual identity direction, along with the UI/UX strategy, for a myriad of federal and commercial accounts. This individual will work on exciting design projects and emerging-tech engagements, focusing on things like identity intelligence, immersive technology, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), virtualization, augmented reality and digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
Visual design and UI/UX strategy
Ideate and design solutions to meet user and stakeholder needs and requirements
Design iteratively to incorporate project goals and continued research feedback
Create highly detailed wireframes and clickable prototypes
Create responsive designs to adapt to various platforms and sizes
Develop personas, journey maps and user content flows
Organize and maintain versioning and documentation, including design guides, libraries, etc.
Present design ideas and solutions to team members, clients, and additional stakeholders
Deliver clean artifacts in various formats for development and project use
Organize and deliver high quality artifacts to internal team members or stakeholders
Maintain knowledge of current UX and design updates and trends
Work closely with the UX team, developers, and stakeholders, harnessing Human Centered Design (HCD)
Experience working within Agile Frameworks
As part of a cross-functional Agile team, coordinate with team members to follow best practices, plan work, and communicate with the client on progress
Develop user personas and stories
Participate and contribute to all agile ceremonies/events
Work closely with the team to ensure that user stories and acceptance criteria are accurately captured
Excellent communication skills to be able to interact directly with non-technical client stakeholders and act in a business-to-technical translation role
Self-motivated and self-managing.
Proficient in creating reasonable and accurate time estimates for assigned tasks.

Requirements
Non-Technical Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance
Must currently reside in the Continental United States.
Must be open to working during Eastern Standard Time business hours to meet customer requirements.
This position is 100% remote for candidates outside the DC/MD/Northern Virginia area. Candidates local to the DC/MD/Northern Virginia area must be willing to work a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week) in Reston, VA, and at client sites throughout the DC/MD/Northern Virginia region, as needed.

Mandatory Requirements/Skills:
Must have 2+ years of professional UI/UX and Visual Design experience.
Must possess Expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Must demonstrate a strong visual portfolio with examples of HCD.
Experience working within Agile Frameworks.
Must possess strong communications skills with the ability to engage clients and "sell" work.
Must be proficient in creating reasonable and accurate time estimates for assigned tasks.
Must have the ability to collaborate with design team, UI/UXers, developers and stakeholders.
Must have experience designing for different platforms and sizes.
Desired Requirements/Skills:
Active/Current DHS-USCIS Entry on Duty (EOD) Clearance/Investigation.
Experience with user research, information architecture and user experience strategy.
Excellent written skills.
Previous experience working with federal agencies.
Experience with video editing software.
Salary Description $60,000-$80,000 (based upon pertinent experience)
