Digital Illustrators create and refine 2D digital artwork and apply expertise with common graphics tools to evaluate and guide AI systems'' understanding of real-world illustration and technical imaging tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Apply practical experience with 2D graphics tools to complete project tasks that improve AI behavior in illustration workflows.
- Develop domain-specific prompts and instructions for language and multimodal models related to digital illustration tasks.
- Review and evaluate LLM and model responses for accuracy, usefulness, and adherence to professional standards in illustration.
- Work asynchronously with AI research teams to provide feedback, examples, and clarifications based on professional practice.
- At least 1+ year of professional or practical experience using one or more of the following tools: GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, LibreSprite, or other 2D graphics applications.
- Familiarity with common 2D illustration workflows and file formats.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with remote research teams in an asynchronous setting.
- Location: Remote work from any location.
- Schedule: Part time, flexible hours, asynchronous collaboration, no minimum weekly commitment required.
- Project placement: The program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise, and assignment to specific projects depends on project availability.
- Typical project tasks include prompt development and evaluation of model outputs, among other domain-specific activities.
- Pay rate: Up to $125/hr (depending on the project).
- International students on F-1 who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate, subject to approval from your Designated School Official. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement.
