Leads, directs and manages operations for account to ensure that the operations staff executes service agreements at or above the client's standards

Assumes full profit and loss accountability for assigned account, including maintaining current book of business and expanding revenue opportunities

Maximize profitability through superior service, effective and prompt communications and follow-up on all pending matters

Approve all financial applications and reports and complete any ad hoc assignments designated by the Regional Vice President

Manage revenue and expenses to budget constraints

Manages the financial aspects of the account including invoice management,budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses

Reviews operating budgets for revenues and expenses and monitors compliance tocontracts and provides strategic direction for account

Other duties as assigned

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications

Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectivelywith both clients and internal personnel

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in amanner that is acceptable to others and the organization

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field

7 - 10 years of experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry

5 or more years of supervisory or management experience, 6 - 8 years industry experience required

Strong marketing and sales strategy development experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components

Sitting for extended periods of time

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight
