News Editor

with significant growth opportunities. This position requires strong non-linear editing skills, a passion for the language of news, and a keen eye for crafting video for broadcast. The News Editor works closely with producers, anchors, reporters, and photographers to deliver compelling, timely content.
Responsibilities

Edit video content for daily newscasts and special segments
Collaborate with producers to ensure timely and accurate video packages
Assist reporters and photographers in creating visually compelling stories
Maintain high editorial and technical standards under tight deadlines
Must Have

A passion for the job and visual storytelling
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom
Proficiency with non-linear editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Edius, etc.)
Agility in handling multiple editing tasks with accuracy and speed
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in video editing or a related field is a plus

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while editing at a computer workstation

Visual acuity required for reviewing video content and fine-tuning edits
May be required to move between newsroom, studio, and editing bays as needed
