Lighting Designer: 10-Minute Play Festival for Voices

The Living Color Festival is looking for a lighting designer for our Inaugural 10 Minute Play Festival. The LD will be designing and programing for 5 ten minute plays at the Berger Park Cultural Center August 10th & 11th.

The Living Color Festival is a ten minute play festival dedicated to providing opportunities to BIPOC artists in the Chicagoland area. This festival allows artists of color to explore the freedom of creating art without the “White Gaze” or as Toni Morrison describes it “The White Man over your shoulder pressuring you to create in a way that explains your culture or experience so that a white audience might understand it.” This festival is striving to uplift and amplify the work of artists of color.
