Job Summary Reporting to the firm's Director of Communications, the Communications, Content, and Social Media Specialist will play an instrumental role in advancing the firm’s marketplace reputation by developing compelling content, overseeing campaigns, and creating communications materials for omnichannel consumption. A key member of the Business Development & Marketing team, you will champion and execute initiatives that strengthen the firm's brand, reputation, and market visibility.

This individual is naturally curious, exploring new medium to deliver content to various stakeholders, thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment, and demonstrates a strong interest in staying informed on legal industry developments, competitor activity, business trends, and the evolving social media landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES Communications, Content, and Brand Support Support execution of the firm's social media strategy by creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content across appropriate platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
Support and lead the implementation and ongoing administration of the firm's employee social media advocacy platform, including coordinating rollout, developing training materials, managing content, promoting user adoption, and serving as the primary point of contact for the program.
Adapt long-form content into compelling social media posts, graphics, videos, and other digital assets that increase engagement and extend the reach of the firm's thought leadership.
Create and edit short-form video content for social media, digital marketing, internal communications, and other firm initiatives using modern video editing tools and AI-enabled platforms.
Collaborate with BD&M colleagues on campaigns for marketing and business development opportunities including sponsorships, marquee events, themed client engagement, and thought leadership.
Capture photography and video content at firm events, attorney activities, client programs, and other key initiatives to support internal and external communications.
Coordinate with the digital and web team on timely coordination of relevant content, announcements, and related content.
Draft and support the development of a variety of internal and external communications, including social media content, press releases, newsletters, award submissions, and other firm content.
Oversee the administrative management of relevant duties including the firm's social media content calendars, monitor social media channels and prepare regular reports on engagement, analytics, and campaign performance using social media and Google Analytics data.
Monitor legal industry developments, client issues, competitor activity, media coverage, and emerging social media trends to proactively identify opportunities for timely social communications.
Assist with media relations efforts, including coordinating media requests, interviews, and press announcements.
Support executive and attorney communications initiatives, including internal communications, speaking engagements, industry award entries, and profile-raising opportunities.
Assist with graphic design, photography, video, and other multimedia content creation as needed.
Support implementation and adoption of new communications technologies, marketing platforms and AI-enabled tools that improve efficiency and content effectiveness.
Coordinate firmwide headshot photography.
Operations & Project Management Coordinate communications projects from concept through execution, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are met.
Maintain communications and marketing files, templates, and digital assets within the firm's document management system.
Assist with department reporting, budget tracking, and other operational and administrative support functions.
Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field.
Three to five years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, social media or a related field; professional services or law firm experience preferred.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex legal and business topics into clear, engaging, and audience-focused communications.
Experience managing social media platforms, developing digital content, capturing, and editing photo and video content, and analyzing performance metrics.
Familiarity with website content management systems, email marketing platforms, and digital marketing best practices, including SEO.
Experience with graphic design and content creation tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, firm leadership, and colleagues across departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Naturally curious with a passion for staying current on legal, business and social media trends, and the ability to identify emerging opportunities that support the firm's communications and business development objectives.
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Pay Range and Compensation Package Honigman provides a generous total compensation package, which includes comprehensive health and well-being benefits, as well as 401k and profit sharing. The anticipated annual pay range for this role is $60,000 to $85,000 (non-exempt). The actual offered pay rate will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity considerations.
