Overview
Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a creative, high-judgment public relations professional with exceptional storytelling instincts and deep media relationships to drive communications programs for the AWS Partner Network. The right candidate is a strong writer who can translate complex cloud and AI technology into compelling narratives that resonate with business and technology audiences, and who thrives on building relationships — with reporters, partners, and internal stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities

Develop and drive proactive media strategy for the AWS partner portfolio and AWS Marketplace — identifying stories, building narratives, and securing meaningful coverage in technology trade, business, and AI/cloud media

Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key technology and business reporters, editors, podcasters, and influencers who cover cloud, AI, enterprise software, and the partner/platform network

Serve as a skilled storyteller and writer — authoring press releases, media pitches, bylines, talking points, Q&A documents, and thought leadership content that translates technical depth into clear, compelling narratives

Partner directly with partner marketing and executive communications teams to develop news moments, launch strategies, and thought leadership programs that elevate both the partner and AWS

Shape and execute Marketplace-specific communications programs — driving awareness of AWS Marketplace capabilities, customer and partner success stories, and strategic differentiators

Support executive thought leadership, preparing spokespeople for media interviews, developing briefing materials, and identifying opportunities for AWS and partner leaders to contribute to industry conversations

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

Experience in B2B, high-tech products/services preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in media relations and issues management

Can work in a fast-paced, team environment

Experience with AI/ML technologies

Current experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts

Experience creating and executing robust thought leadership campaigns

Excellent media relations skills

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Outstanding attention to detail

Deep understanding of technology and ability to communicate complex topics effectively

Ability to dive deep and an innate bias for action

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
