Job Summary
The Social Media Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of social media and online community initiatives to build brand credibility, drive engagement, and support demand generation and business objectives. This role is accountable for complex social media programs to include data analytics, leading day-to-day publishing, evolving channel strategy in partnership with leadership, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance brand visibility.
Essential Functions
Lead execution of social media strategies and campaigns aligned with business goals, delivering measurable improvements in brand awareness, engagement, and traffic across priority platforms while ensuring content is compliant with legal and regulatory requirements; create resources to guide internal teams on social media best practices and brand amplification
Develop and manage a comprehensive editorial calendar aligned to campaigns, product launches, events, and business priorities, while ensuring platform specific content themes, cadence, and messaging are tailored across target audiences
Develop and publish high impact, engaging content—including short form video, customer interviews, behind-the-scenes content, product features, growth stories, clinical transformations that strengthens brand identification and encourages audience participation and sharing
Collect user-generated content (UGC) to identify emerging platforms, content trends, and promotional tactics; translate findings into forward looking social media recommendations
Build, manage, and grow online communities by establishing trusted relationships with followers (e.g., practices, suppliers, employees) while representing the brand with a consistent and authoritative voice; engage in real-time dialogue, respond timely to comments, and elevate any customer issues to appropriate teams
Accountable for social media analytics, optimization, and KPI reporting & dashboards; provide recommendations and implement cross functional improvements based on insights
Optimize social media performance by conducting A/B testing on messaging, formats, and audience targeting, while proactively monitoring algorithm changes, platform enhancements, and emerging social trends relevant to B2B and healthcare audiences
Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Digital teams to integrate social media into demand generation, campaign, and website strategies to amplify lead-generation campaigns and priority initiatives
Foster positive relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), industry associations, and partners and monitor industry trends and social media conversations
Serve as a primary contact for external agencies/vendors and provide oversight to ensure outcomes, timelines, and quality standards are met
Represent the organization at events, customer locations, and supplier engagements to capture content, conduct interviews, and support high quality video and multimedia production
Comply with company and department policies and standards; perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
5 years of experience in marketing or social media management for a B2B brand, agency, or equivalent environment
Preferred Requirements
Experience in healthcare, medtech, or distribution industry
Experience supporting demand generation and sales driven marketing campaigns
Skills And Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills; ability to represent the brand onsite, conduct interviews, and support video production
Strong proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) and social media management tools
Experience creating or directing short form video and editing high quality, brand appropriate visual content in a deadline driven environment
Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills; ability to effectively manage timelines and multiple initiatives and deliverables
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and apply insights
Familiarity with CRM and/or marketing automation platforms

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $77,200.00 - $94,500.00
