Social Media Manager Genuine Fred (Fred & Friends)

Genuine Fred (Fred & Friends) is looking for a mid-level Social Media Manager to take the reins of our growing online presence and amplify our voice through creative content and sharp humor. We currently have 368k+ followers on TikTok and 40k+ on Instagram

and we're just getting started.
This is a role for someone who is genuinely funny, visually sharp, and knows how to make people stop scrolling. You'll own Fred's social channels, create original content, and keep our personality unmistakable. You'll plan, shoot, and post across TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest, and more

spotting trends early and turning them into moments that make people laugh, engage, and shop.
This is a full-time remote role. We're based in Pawtucket, RI, and prefer candidates on the East Coast or in New England

not because we'll make you come in every week, but because we'll want to see you occasionally for product launches, video shoots, and team outings. Being within a day's shipping range also makes the physical product side of this job a lot easier.
What You'll Do:

Content Creation
Concept, shoot, and edit short-form video
Create graphics, memes, and static posts that look and sound unmistakably Fred
Write clean, clever copy for social, email snippets, and product placements
Spot trending formats, sounds, and cultural moments

and adapt them into Fred-worthy content
TikTok Shop & Affiliate
Own Fred's TikTok Shop Affiliate program: sourcing creators, sending samples and PR boxes, managing outreach, writing briefs, and tracking performance
Build and maintain relationships with creators and influencers across TikTok and Amazon Creator Connections
Support paid boosts and cross-channel campaigns alongside the e-commerce team
Community & Strategy
Be the voice of Fred: respond to comments, questions, and DMs with our cheeky, friendly tone
Build monthly content calendars tied to product launches, seasons, and cultural moments
Maintain a weekly scorecard for performance and know what the numbers actually mean (reach, views, engagement, saves, CTR, revenue)
Deliver monthly insights: what hit, what flopped, what's next

TikTok, TikTok Shop Affiliate Center, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest, Amazon Creator Connections, Later Social, Yotpo, Linktree, Canva
Who You Are & What You Bring:

3+ years managing social for a consumer brand (gifts, lifestyle, or housewares is a plus) A portfolio of TikToks, Reels, or Shorts you actually concepted, shot, and edited yourself Strong graphic design skills. You can make a meme, a story graphic, and a product flat lay look good. Quick-witted copywriting instincts

voice, tone, and timing matter here. Comfortable on camera when needed, even better at directing others Experience with affiliate marketing and creator management: sourcing, briefs, usage rights, reporting Obsessed with social trends and what actually makes people stop scrolling Highly organized and able to balance creativity with deadlines and structure Adaptable, collaborative, and quick to pivot when the algorithm decides to ruin your week A real sense of humor and a genuine love for the brand
