Overview
The Creative Services Director leads the operational engine that brings BELLA+CANVAS creative and marketing strategy to life. This role balances creativity and operational expertise, utilizing a strong aesthetic point of view and an understanding of the creative process alongside the knowledge of how to manage production.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead the creative services function, turning creative direction into executable plans, clear workflows, and high-quality deliverables.

Serve as the operational partner to the Art Director and Creative & Design team, ensuring creative work is properly scoped, resourced, sequenced, and delivered.

Oversee creative production budgets, vendor relationships, resource planning, and priorities to ensure work is delivered efficiently and within scope.

Own the execution of photoshoots and creative productions from pre‑production through final asset delivery.

Lead cross‑functional project planning for creative and marketing initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are aligned on scope, timing, roles, dependencies, and deliverables.

Serve as the central point of coordination between Creative & Design, Digital, Commercial Marketing, Sales, and Planning to keep work moving with clarity and accountability.

Anticipate risks, resolve bottlenecks, and communicate status, tradeoffs, and decisions needed to deliver work on time and on brief.

Ensure creative outputs meet established brand standards, creative direction, legal requirements, and quality expectations before final delivery.

Own review and approval workflows to ensure feedback is clear, consolidated, actionable, and aligned to project objectives.

Lead, mentor, and develop the Creative Services team, building a function that is organized, collaborative, accountable, and trusted by cross‑functional partners.

Create clarity around roles, responsibilities, expectations, and ways of working so the team can deliver high‑quality creative work with consistency and confidence.

Foster a production‑minded creative culture that balances creative excellence, operational discipline, speed, and service to the business.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

7-9 years of experience in creative services, creative operations, production, project management, or a related marketing/creative function, or equivalent education.

Proven experience leading creative workflows, production processes, photoshoots, vendor relationships, timelines, and budgets.

Experience managing creative teams and cross‑functional stakeholders in a fast‑paced brand, agency, retail, apparel, consumer goods, or lifestyle environment.

Strong understanding of the creative development process, from brief through production, review, delivery, and final execution.

Proficiency with creative operations and production tools such as Asana, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Bynder or other DAM platforms, and related workflow systems.

WHAT’S our offer?
Salary Range: You’ll earn between $141,775 - $199,500 annually, depending on experience.

Bonus: You’ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: You’ll accrue paid time off on a bi‑weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
B+C Office: Bella + Canvas’ office is located in Montebello, CA in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. This role is onsite Monday through Friday, and our standard working hours are 9:00‑6:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in‑person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
