Job Description
The Athletics Marketing Game Day Assistant will assist the Athletics Marketing Department in executing a variety of game‑day tasks surrounding the experience for both spectators and players.

Located in Providence, Rhode Island, this role is part of Brown University’s Ivy League athletics program, which features 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes competing in NCAA Division I.

This is an 11‑month part‑time, seasonal position.

Major Tasks

Assist with specific game‑day preparation.

Coordinate and execute in‑game promotions, including selecting contestants and bringing them on the field or court.

Set up and take down equipment.

Interact with fans in a friendly manner.

Be knowledgeable about the event being played.

Assist with handling Bruno, the mascot, when necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Willingness to learn the basic rules of sporting events.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Weekday afternoon/evening and weekend availability.

A team‑oriented mindset.

A desire to learn.

All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and education verification satisfactory to Brown.

Scheduled weekly hours: 10.
