Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the Racquet Sports Professionals Association's (RSPA) marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives. This position supports the development and execution of internal and external communications, marketing campaigns, and promotional efforts that elevate the Association's brand, engage members and stakeholders, and advance the department's strategic goals, programs, and initiatives.
Essential Functions
Serve as national staff contact for 17 Division Executive Directors regarding all communication and marketing sent to the membership divisions
Assist in editing/proofing RSPA communications including monthly ADDvantage Magazine
Create, schedule, and publish social media content while monitoring engagement and supporting initiatives that increase member engagement and brand awareness
Assist in updating and maintaining RSPA website
Assist with compilation of RPSA National Awards for Association’s annual World Conference
Create and manage member surveys to collect feedback and insights that inform programs, services, and communications
Draft email copy and assist with strategic development of email marketing calendar, including weekly email newsletters
Assist with the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities for the Association's annual World Conference
Assist with the tracking of RSPA partner advertisement schedule
Collaborate with and support RSPA staff across departments to assist with organizational projects, initiatives, and day‑to‑day operations as needed
Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, marketing, public relations or related field
1-2 years of proven experience in marketing, communications, social media coordination, or similar experience
Exceptional knowledge of public relations/communications strategies
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends and best practices
Exceptional writing skills with proficiency in AP style and eye for detail
Strong editing, proofreading, and copywriting abilities with exceptional attention to detail
Experience creating and managing content for events. Event planning or trade show experience is a plus
Proficient in MS Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with social media management tools like Sprout Social
Familiarity with email marketing and automation platforms
Experience with Canva, Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop
Customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering a positive member experience
Adaptable and flexible in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities
Collaborative team player
Strong time management and project coordination skills
Strong organizational skills
Racquet Sports industry knowledge is a plus
Supervisory Responsibility
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long periods of sitting at a desk using a computer. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full‑time salary exempt position. Days and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position works out of our professional office in Orlando, FL and requires 4 days onsite (M‑T) and 1 work‑from‑home day (F).
Travel
This position may be asked to travel to and attend our annual World Conference for one week per year.
