A highly regarded top ranked national law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Atlanta office. This is a high-visibility, well-rounded role supporting attorneys across a broad range of marketing and business development initiatives at one of the nationals most elite firms.
This is a high-visibility opportunity within one of the firm’s most important offices. The position offers broad exposure across the full scope of business development, direct partnership with firm leadership and attorneys, and meaningful room for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of major client events, including signature programs, in-house counsel dinners, CLE seminars, and leadership forums
Manage sponsorship relationships and develop strategies to maximize client engagement and return on investment
Partner with attorneys on client development, relationship-building, and strategic growth initiatives
Manage the Atlanta office’s marketing budget, annual planning, financial reporting, and ROI analysis
Develop and execute practice and attorney business development plans
Coach partners on business development strategy and client relationship management
Support proposals, RFP responses, rankings, directory submissions, and other marketing initiatives
Help lead the firm’s alumni program and identify related business development opportunities
Support the integration and onboarding of lateral partners and attorneys
Promote attorney adoption and effective use of the firm’s CRM platform
Qualifications:
5+ years of business development experience within a law firm; exceptional candidates with four years of experience may also be considered
Big Four or professional services experience may be considered
Significant experience planning and executing client-facing events
Strong CRM experience and the ability to drive attorney engagement and adoption
DealCloud experience is a major plus but is not required
Experience handling a broad range of responsibilities, including budgets, practice plans, events, proposals, RFPs, and directory submissions
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
Excellent project management, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to independently move initiatives forward and maintain accountability across multiple stakeholders
