Marketing Manager

Brandmotion · Novi, MI, USA ·

Pay:
90.000 - 130.000
Job type:
Full Time

Brandmotion is looking for a sharp, hands-on Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and orchestration of our marketing function. The Marketing Manager owns the marketing calendar end to end, manages our roster of third-party agencies, and serves as the in-house expert on the voice of the customer, translating real buyer insight into sharper messaging, smarter campaigns, and better content.

This is a true utility player role: equally comfortable running a campaign timeline, briefing a vendor, sitting in on a sales call to mine customer language, writing a product page, or pressure-testing a creative concept. This role combines hands-on execution with analytical insight, and requires the ability to independently execute projects, recommend improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders across the firm. The Marketing Manager works cross-functionally with Sales and Product leaders, and reports to the Head of Sales & Marketing.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Marketing Calendar & Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate timelines and dependencies across Sales, Product, and external vendors to keep work on schedule and on brief

Flag conflicts, gaps, and resourcing risks before they become deadline problems

Keep stakeholders at every level, from leadership to vendors, aligned on what's happening and when

Manage relationships with third-party marketing vendors and agencies (creative, growth, web, and other specialty partners)

Own briefing, scoping, timeline management, and quality control for vendor deliverables

Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations on scope, budget, and partner mix

Serve as the primary point of contact ensuring vendor work stays aligned with Brandmotion's brand standards and business priorities

Voice of the Customer

Build deep, ongoing fluency in how Brandmotion's customers, fleet operators, upfitters, distributors, and eCommerce buyers, think, talk, and buy

Gather customer insight through sales call listening, win/loss conversations, surveys, reviews, and direct customer touchpoints

Translate customer language and pain points into messaging, content, and campaign input that sales and product teams can use immediately

Champion the customer perspective in internal planning, creative reviews, and messaging decisions

Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to inform strategy and positioning

Content Development & Management

Own the content calendar and ensure content is planned, produced, and published in alignment with sales priorities and product launches

Write marketing content including blogs, product pages, landing pages, email campaigns, sales enablement materials, and trade show assets

Maintain consistency of messaging, tone, and brand standards across all customer-facing channels

Plan, draft, and publish social media content across relevant platforms; monitor engagement and performance and adjust cadence and content mix accordingly

Partner with the Growth Marketing resource/agency to ensure content supports demand generation and SEO performance goals

Campaign & Product Launch Execution

Execute digital campaigns supporting product launches in coordination with Sales and Product teams

Manage trade show campaigns end to end, pre-event, on-site, and post-event follow-through

Ensure all campaign assets are on time, on brand, and aligned with the go-to-market strategy

Monitor campaign performance in partnership with vendors; surface what's working and what needs to change

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field preferred

7-10 years of marketing experience in B2B, with exposure to longer or multi-stakeholder sales cycles

Demonstrated experience managing external vendors or agencies, including scoping, briefing, and quality control
