STV is seeking a Communications Manager to join our Aviation group. This position will support one of our aviation clients at the client project office in San Francisco, CA. This position is designated as fully onsite, 5 days/week.
This position will assist one of STV's top aviation clients to establish a communications program and manage stakeholder and public touchpoints for various aviation projects at SFO airport. The role will bring consistent and professional communication streams to all key stakeholders, including clients, airlines, airport operators and employees, consumers, media, and the general public, to meet goals and promote a positive perception of the program, the client, and STV. The ideal candidate has a creative mindset, strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and is passionate about client advocacy and service.
Responsibilities Include:
Work with program leadership to develop strategic communication plans to meet program goals.
"Subject matter expert" on all issues related to program communications.
Serve as project manager for communications initiatives for the program.
Implement strategic concepts, messaging, and positioning content within written and presentation materials.
Work directly with project stakeholders to establish and manage a consistent flow of internal and external communication streams with a focus on project status updates, logistics, and public relations
ews through various avenues.
Promote the program brand by designing and updating supergraphics, signage and wayfinding, digital content via kiosks, social media, and a program-specific website.
Create, publish, install and manage comprehensive airport maps for public awareness during construction.
Update and maintain internal graphics library for reference.
Write original content for social media, website, collateral materials, etc.
Work with corporate and local resources to identify and pursue media coverage as appropriate.
Lead planning and coordination of events such as groundbreaking, team milestone celebrations, grand opening, etc.
Technical Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing/Communications, PR/Journalism, or related discipline.
A/E/C or Aviation industry knowledge is highly preferred.
5-7+ years related experience is required.
Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Client-focused and has a strong work ethic.
Ability to effectively coordinate all aspects of communication plan.
Clear and persuasive writing skills to produce content for a variety of communication streams.
Consistent command of grammar, proofreading, punctuation and business writing skills.
Understand how to write press releases and relate to the media.
Oversee, monitor and enhance program presence in both traditional and online media.
Demonstrate proficiency with graphic development and visual communications.
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft 365, with enhanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud with enhanced proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
Demonstrate full proficiency in presentation design, development and use.
Ability to interpret various content types and information to transform into campaigns, presentations and high-impact visuals.
Self-motivated decision-maker and problem-solver.
Photography and videography skills are a plus.
Compensation Range:
$139,203.44-$159,089.65
