A respected architecture and design firm is seeking an experienced

Proposal Specialist

to lead qualifications-based submissions and support strategic business development efforts. This individual will play a key role in managing RFQ pursuits, developing compelling proposal content, and ensuring consistency across marketing and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Proposal Leadership & Marketing Coordination

Lead firmwide RFQ efforts, managing pursuit schedules and coordinating proposal workflows.
Collaborate with leadership and project teams to ensure submissions are accurate, strategic, and delivered on time.
Balance multiple pursuits while maintaining quality and alignment with overall marketing objectives.
Business Development Support

Manage the development of RFQs from inception through submission, ensuring compliance with requirements and strong visual and written presentation.
Support interview preparation and presentation strategy for client pursuits.
Maintain and contribute to CRM data integrity to strengthen business development initiatives.
Content Development & Quality Assurance

Serve as the lead editor for proposal content, ensuring consistency, clarity, and brand alignment.
Review and refine resumes, project descriptions, narratives, and technical content.
Gather information from internal stakeholders and translate complex concepts into persuasive, client-focused messaging.
Maintain and enhance a library of proposal resources, including resumes, project profiles, and standard content.
Partner with marketing teams on broader storytelling and content development initiatives.
Research & Innovation

Monitor industry trends, client priorities, and best practices in proposal development.
Recommend new approaches and process improvements to strengthen pursuit strategies and outcomes.
Desired Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal development, marketing, technical writing, or a related field.
Proven success leading RFQ/RFP efforts, coordinating teams, and managing multiple deadlines.
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Experience working with CRM platforms and proposal management processes.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite; strong Microsoft Office skills.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Creative mindset with a passion for strategic storytelling and business development.
Location

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring approximately three days per week in one of several Texas-based offices, including Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or Corpus Christi.
