Graphic Designers at TJC play a pivotal role in translating our brand into visually compelling designs. This position reports to the Director of Marketing, Media & Communications, and collaborates with the marketing team to assess the marketing needs of incoming departmental requests, then creates branded design solutions across various platforms, including promotional materials and digital media.
Primary Responsibilities
Produce eye-catching and on-brand graphics, illustrations, and visual content for various marketing channels, including social (both paid and organic), paid media (both digital and print), email campaigns, texts, website, and signage.
Ensure brand consistency across all TJC design assets, maintaining a strong visual identity that resonates with our various audiences, including prospects, students, and community members.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, while efficiently meeting quick deadlines.
Ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of design assets while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
Maintain collaborative and favorable working relationships with the marketing team and college departments to promote a harmonious work environment, boosting morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
While working with customers on design requests, convey and guide them to recommended best marketing tactics that will ensure the success of messaging to their target audience.
Assist other graphic designers and supervise student assistants.
Coordinate with outside agencies, vendors, printers, etc. to produce and ensure cost-efficient and timely production of marketing pieces.
Stay up-to-date with design trends and principles, as well as hardware and software.

If travel is required, the candidate must have and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Required Education
Associate’s degree in a related field
Required Experience
One (1) year of direct experience is required, or three years of related experience.
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Additional Job-Specific Requirements
Higher education experience.
Experience creating GIFs and motion graphics.
Experience with project management software such as Wrike, Workfront, or Asana.
